The Operator to Owner class from KPI Mastery is designed to help successful business owners reclaim much of their life back, while at the same time maximizing the profitability and sustainability of their business.
Most successful business owners were once just artists of their craft. For instance, many restaurant owners were once great cooks and many auto-repair shop owners were once great technicians. And being great at and loving their craft, inspired them to open their own business. What they quickly realized however is that running a business and managing employees is far different than just working at what they loved to do most.
As a result, many business owners get stuck working IN their business and don’t have time to strategically work ON their business! Even if they do have some time to do this, they don’t always know how to work ON their business.
This is what the Operator to Owner (O2O) class is all about!

Darren has spent over 30 years as an Efficiency consultant on hundreds of projects in more than 20 countries. As Darren worked to understand performance metrics , he found that the real secret to increasing efficiency and resource utilization came not of the indicators themselves, but in the interpretation of these indicators combined with the actions taken to improve them. Over time, Darren established client relationships and traveled around the world providing efficiency consulting and training. Eventually he transferred his skills with KPI tracking and profitability maximization to the restaurant industry, and Darren and his wife, Nancy, opened Nonna’s Kitchen in Spearfish, SD. Nonna’s quickly surpassed a 20% profit margin, a level rarely seen in the industry. With Nancy upholding the correct systems and processes and Darren tracking KPI’s, Nonna’s continues to thrive.
